Summertime Dropouts Release “100 Things To Do With A Potato” Commentary

Pop Punk band Summertime Dropouts are known for their zany sense of humor…and the release of 100 Things To Do With A Potato will undoubtedly cement that legacy in place.

Inspired by a running joke on Twitter and, during some downtime, the guys decided to take the idea and run with it. They incorporated their own ideas as well as some from their large following on Twitter and came up with a 100 page digital book called, you guess it, 100 Things To Do With A Potato. Lead guitarist Danny Knoblock and Australian super fan (and guitarist Josh Stoll‘s girlfriend) Courtney Fletcher illustrated the book. Last but not least, the amazingly talented Japanese super fan and artist Minami Kamiya contributed the front cover for the album. They recently ran a contest which was judged by YouTube sensation Bryan Stars who is illustrated in the book as well.

The guys provide commentary as they read through the book. Released 2/11/14, you’ll definitely want to grab this comedic gem. To gain some insight into just how zany they are, view this YouTube video featuring lead vocalist Dave Erickson and guitarist Josh Stoll.

Pick up the album on iTunes, AmazonMP3, Rhapsody and other fine digital retailers.
